Leptospiroses is a high infectious disease, which occurs in humans and animals. It is caused by micro organisms from leptospira. In addition to the social economic conditionings, the leptospiroses geographic distribution is highly influenced by environmental conditions of regions with tropical and sub tropical climate. In these regions the high temperature associated with high precipitation rate, give the conditions for seasonal epidemics of the disease. In order to run an analysis in the relationship between the occurrence of human leptospiroses and temporal and spatial distribution of rain, in a national basis (Brazil), regional basis (Paraná) and local basis (Curitiba), spatial analysis tools from a Geographic Information System (GIS) were used.
